Sat 21st March Heritage Centre Talk & Tea - Phil Gammon will give a talk on the Roadwater Mineral Line. The railway was built in the mid 19th century and transported iron ore from the local mines on the Brendon Hilldown to Watchet harbour. The talk will start at 2pm and takes place in the Long Hall at the Rec Centre, admission is £5 to include afternoon tea.
Sat 28th March Easter Craft Fair - Craft market with 20 stalls, featuring woodworking gifts, sewing, cards, photo prints etc. Refreshments of tea, cakes, bacon butties available throughout the duration of the event. The Craft fair starts at 10am and will finish at approx 3pm.
For anyone wishing to book a craft stall the cost is £6 plus an item for the raffle, tressle table provided with a size of 6ft x 2ft 6ins.

Saturday 25th April Big Breakfast - The profit raised from the breakfast will go towards the new mower fund. The mowing and most of the ground maintenance is carried out by volunteers, mainly by members and supporters of the Carhampton Cricket Club. The grass field is mown reguarly throught the season and takes many man-hours to keep it in good condition, therefore we are looking to upgrade the mower to one with a wider cut to reduce the overall workload.
Saturday 9th May Heritage Centre Talk & Tea - A talk on the life and work of Britsh artist Rachel Reckitt, well known sculpter, wood engraver and blacksmith who designed and made the signs for local pubs, namely The Butchers Arms, Valiant Soldier at Roadwater and The White Horse at Washford. The talk will start at 2pm and take place in the Long Hall at the Rec. In keeping with the usual format, it will be followed by afternoon tea, admission is on the door and costs £5. Massive Car Boot Sale

The annual car boot sale orgainised by the Carhampton Youth Club is expected to take place on Bank Holiday Monday 31st August. It is hoped the event will take place on the Recreation field and take the same format as in previous years and will open from 7.30am onwards for seller, and open to the general public at 9am with an entry fee of £1. Prices for sellers are £6 per car with larger vehicles at £10. Refreshments available - full details tbc.
